Iheanacho Becomes Highest Paid Nigerian In English Premier League, To Earn N35m Per Week

Manchester City and Nigerian starlet, Kelechi Iheanacho, is now the highest paid Nigerian player in the Premier League, after agreeing a £85,000-per-week deal with the club.

Iheanacho, who signed a new two-year contract extension to stay at the Etihad until 2021, beats the likes of Ahmed Musa, Mikel Obi and Odion Ighalo. He admitted his new deal will “change the lives of his family”The 19-year-old now earns more than Super Eagles captain, Mikel John Obi, who picks up £70,000 a week at Chelsea and Victor Moses who is paid £50,000 a week at Stamford Bridge.

Iheanacho’s new agents negotiated this bumper deal, even though they are still locked in an ownership tussle with the player’s former representatives.
